“We design every roof for a single client, a single house, and a single set of weather, light, and wishes.”
Roofing as a private commission, not a transaction.
West Roofing is entrusted by homeowners, architects, and property stewards to build the most demanding roofs in the region. We do not sell from a catalogue. We arrive, we measure, we listen, and we ask the questions a roof deserves before a single tile is set.
The result is a roof drawn around your house — its lines, its prevailing weather, the years it has already kept and the years it is still owed. Whether barrel clay, hand-split slate, standing-seam metal, or a designer shingle, every project is specified by hand and installed by craftsmen who have stood on roofs for decades.
Residential · Commercial · Historic Restoration
Six roofs we know intimately.
A deliberately narrow palette of premium materials — clay tile, concrete tile, natural slate, standing-seam metal, and designer asphalt. Four are featured here; the full lineup of six lives on the Materials page.

The questions we hear most.
If yours isn't here, it'll be answered at the estimate visit — or by phone before, if you prefer.
- 01How does the free estimate work?
- Someone from West Roofing visits your property at a time you choose, walks the roof, asks the relevant questions about your home and your timeline, and follows up with a written estimate. There is no charge and no obligation. We don't quote over the phone — the visit is the only honest way to estimate.
- 02How long does a roof project take?
- Field installation runs roughly 4–10 weeks depending on size, material, and weather. Custom-color clay tile and natural slate add 12–32 weeks of material lead time on top of that. We use the lead-time window for tear-off, deck repair, re-nailing, and underlayment, so the substrate is ready the day the field material arrives.
- 03Do you handle insurance claims?
- Yes — particularly post-storm. We document the damage independently, write the bid against the agreed scope, and coordinate with your carrier and adjuster as needed. We do not accept Assignment of Benefits (AOB); the claim stays in your name and we are paid by you directly.
- 04Do you do small repairs?
- We accept select repair work for existing clients and for material types we install at the new-roof tier — clay tile, slate, copper, and standing-seam metal. For straightforward asphalt repairs or work outside our material specializations, we'll point you to a contractor better-suited to that scope.
